In September 2026, we will open our first flagship store in Hawksburn Village, a considered, design led retail environment that brings our world to life in a physical space for the first time.

This flagship represents a defining chapter in our brand journey and we are now seeking an exceptional Assistant Store Manager to support the leadership of our founding retail team.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the launch of the Rachel Donath flagship store and play a key role in delivering an elevated retail experience.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help lead the day to day operations of the flagship store, support the development of the retail team and ensure every client interaction reflects the warmth, confidence and design sensibility that defines our brand.

You will be highly involved in both the customer experience and operational execution of the store, helping to maintain a refined and welcoming environment while contributing to strong commercial performance.

The Role

As Assistant Store Manager, you will support all aspects of the flagship store’s daily operations while acting as a hands on leader on the shop floor.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the store operates seamlessly, the team performs at a high level and every customer experience feels considered and personalised.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Sales Support

Deliver exceptional, design led customer service and sales support

Build strong relationships with retail, trade and interior design clients

Support the Store Manager in achieving store sales targets and commercial goals

Provide thoughtful product guidance and styling support to clients

Ensure every client interaction reflects the premium positioning of the brand

Team Support & Leadership

Support onboarding and training of retail team members

Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer experiences

Provide day to day guidance and support to the retail team

Assist with maintaining a polished, positive and high performing store culture

Step into leadership responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence

Store Operations

Support daily store operations including opening and closing procedures

Assist with rostering, team coordination and peak trade support

Maintain accuracy across POS systems, client records and store administration

Support stock management, inventory accuracy and movement of floor stock

Ensure operational standards are consistently upheld across the store

Events & Client Engagement

Assist in the coordination and execution of in store events and brand activations

Support event setup, styling, client hosting and supplier coordination

Help foster relationships with local trade, design and community networks

Contribute to creating a welcoming and elevated in-store experience during events

Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards

Maintain impeccable store presentation and cleanliness at all times

Support visual merchandising updates and floor styling

Ensure the store environment consistently reflects the Rachel Donath brand aesthetic

Uphold premium standards across all client interactions and operational touchpoints

About You

You are polished, proactive and highly service oriented, with a genuine passion for interiors and customer experience.

You will bring:

Previous experience in a retail leadership or senior sales role (premium or luxury environment highly regarded)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A warm, confident and professional approach to customer service

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

The ability to thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment

A strong sense of initiative and accountability

A passion for interiors, furniture or design

Experience working with interior designers, architects or trade clients will be highly regarded but is not essential.
